The LDAP Authentication module allows you to authenticate against a LDAP directory, instead of relying on the internal authentication mechanism supplied by The Bug Genie. This means that all of the users of your organisation can log straight into The Bug Genie without additional accounts, plus you can be certain that details such as email addresses will remain in sync. The module supports any LDAP server that is accessible via protocol version 3, and so includes Microsoft Active Directory, as well as popular open source alternative such as OpenLDAP.
