Returning to inbuilt authentication

It is required that you set up mail notification before switching to internal authentication, so you can gain access to users in the system.

On the Authentication page, you can return back to internal authentication. Saving will log you out, and all sessions will be invalidated. Previously disabled pages (such as 'My Account') will now be restored, and your alternative messages will no longer be shown.

You can then use the Forgot password feature to get a new password and log back in to The Bug Genie.

Returning to inbuilt authentication if you cannot log in

It is required that you set up mail notification before switching to internal authentication, so you can gain access to users in the system.

If there has been a problem with LDAP Authentication, and you can no longer log in to The Bug Genie to return back to internal authentication, if you can manually alter the database to do this.

Open the tbg3_settings table, and delete the row with the key 'auth_backend'.

You can then use the Forgot password feature to get a new password and log back in to The Bug Genie.
