The first thing we might want to do is add a new Issue Type. Let's add the Issue Type "Document Request". So as the Administrator user let's go to the "Configure the Bug Genie" page and select the Issue types option. We will then go to the "Add a new issue type" section, type "Document Request" in the issue type name field. Select the type of "Documentation Request" and click the "add" button. This will give you the screen you see to the left. Notice that the description is blank. We will fix that next.

So lets click on the Edit icon located to the far right of the Document Request issue type section. We will enter the phrase "Need a new document created? Found a document problem? Report it here." in the Description field and press the "Update details" button. This gives us the screen we see to the left.

Creating an Issue Type Scheme

The next thing to do is create a new Issue Type Scheme. The easiest way to do this is to create a copy of the Default Issue Type Scheme. So, Click the far right icon in the Default Issue Type Scheme section. This will open up a new section like shown in the image to the left. Just enter a name for your scheme in the "New Name" field and click the "Copy issue type scheme" button.

Now let's take a look at the new issue type scheme, click on the first icon in the new issue type scheme section and you will see the screen to the left. The first thing you will notice is that the issue type "Document Request" is not highlighted in green and says it is not enabled. To enable it all you need to do is click on the text "Enable issue type for this scheme". Once you click this the Document request issue type will get a green background and the text will change to "Disable issue type for this scheme".

We now have the Document request issue type enabled but we need to make sure that the options we want to see, not see or require need to be checked. To do this we click on the far right icon in the Document Request issue type section. This will display the options for this issue type as seen in the image to the left. You notice that the only thing visible right now is Status. This will not be enough so lets check the following:
Issue description: check visible, reportable and required
Priority: check visible and reportable
Assignee: check visible and reportable
Affected release(s): check visible and reportable
Estimated time to complete: check visible and reportable
Time spent working on the issue: check visible and reportable
then click on the "Save" button.
